Happy New Year = Not really as per the reviews

The much awaited multi-star movie Happy New Year is out in time for Diwali, however the reviews are really bad. It looks like Farah Khan again forgot that there needs to be some money invested in a good story as well. Check out this review and also comments from folks who have seen it, i would wait for this movie on DVD. Here is a link: http://movies.ndtv.com/movie-reviews/happy-new-year-movie-review-1039

Dhoom 3 trailer

Dhoom sequel 3 seems to have it all - action, chasing, great sets and cast. It should be a good entertainer.

Special 26 - excellent watch

After a long time, a movie that I loved. This one is based on real life unsolved heist from 1987.
I would recommend, watch the movie first and then if you are like me read the history. Movie is good on all fronts - direction, action and suspense. http://www.mid-day.com/news/2010/may/090510-tribhuvandas-bhimji-zaveri-robbery-1987-police-still-clueless.htm

Eega - telugu movie - great quality

Excellent movie..Eega... story of a fly...

Don 2 - Good watch

I finally got to watch SRK's Don 2 and generally liked it. It was a bit below my expectations but still worth the long wait and watch.

Story line: This does not seem to be really original. It is a mix of several English movies like Ocean's Eleven and Entrapment.

Acting: Boman Irani and Priyanka have done well and without this star power the movie would have failed. SRK was good but he was better in the first movie, he was lacking the evil Don personality. He did perform the bungee jump from the 100 floor building himself.

Direction: Farhan Akthar of the Dil Chata Hai fame has done a decent job and kept the overall feel like the previous movie.

Locations and cinematography were great.

So overall a good watch.

Ra-One Mixed reviews

SRK's long awaited movie is out. Promos of the movie has been great and SRK has timed it right - Diwali. However the movie story line is weak and good for only young kids. I'll wait for the DVD release...

Tribute to the great legend - Jagjit Singh

This is one of his best songs...

Don 2 trailer

This is long overdue movie in which SRK performed a tough stunt - the jump from tall building is real - check it out...

Vaishali - good movie

I liked this movie - cast, story and direction were really good. It is about a cop solving a murder mystery where the victim was his girlfriend. The ghost of the victim haunts and kills the culprits. It has only 3 songs, all of them just background - music is also good.

Enjoy this Limca Ad - creative and gives a fresh feeling

Wake Up Sid - the best part

This is a good simple story on how a friendship turns into love in Mumbai. The last part is below and is the best that reminds us that we do work in this world to share it with someone.

What Rs 500 worth?

Alexandar and Chanakya - two great minds of 4th century

Lovely video that shows how Chankya helped India from a complete take over by Alexander the great. From what I understand, Alexander made 2 attempts to India and did win the 2nd time. This video reflects his first defeat

New Airtel ad - innovative - endless goodbyes

Bruno Mars - Just the way you are - great song

The song has highs and lows and a beautiful video - simple but very clean
